Durham, North Carolina

Durham, the fifth largest city in North Carolina is situated an hour east of Greensboro. The top contributors to the economy in Durham are from health care and education. Alongside a few rolling hills, the Eno River passes through Durham creating a peaceful landscape. The region’s climate is humid subtropical with long warm summers and a high rate of precipitation. The summer high temperature averages near 90 degrees and several thunderstorms come through the area during the season. Winters commonly bring a small amount of snow, on average 3 – 4 inches annually. The winters are cool with temperatures typically in the 40′s.
