Wilmington, a port city, is located near the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in North Carolina. Wilmington is situated between Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. This historic port city is filled with trees and beautiful green landscape. Nurturing this terrain is the region’s humid subtropical climate. This climate creates long, warm summers and brief mild winters. The summer temperatures normally average in the low 90′s, however the heat index can easily reach up to 100 degrees. Temperatures during the winter season average in the mid 50′s and generally offers very little snow. With it’s close proximity to the ocean and its mild climate, Wilmington makes for a wonderful vacation destination and a great place to call home.
